The design of this website started with a clear analysis of Mees as both a maker and a brand. The diversity of his projects required a platform that is flexible without ever feeling generic. Every element was designed to support variation while maintaining a strong and consistent identity.

Mees’ drive was a key starting point. Curious, ambitious, and constantly moving forward. This energy is reflected in a visual language that feels alive. Subtle references to the tit as a bird add an extra layer of character, light, alert, and slightly playful, without becoming literal.

Color choices were made deliberately to create contrast and tension. Colors are allowed to stand out, while always remaining balanced. The result is a look and feel that is fresh, bold, and far from boring.

Interaction plays an important role throughout the site. Playful mouseovers and micro-animations create a tactile experience and invite exploration. These elements are not decorative, but function as an extension of the story and the personality behind the work.
