Amsterdam-based director Lisette Donkersloot blends her background in art direction with a self-taught mastery of filmmaking, crafting a bold, visually driven cinematic language that feels both instinctive and artful.

Process

For director and visual auteur Lisette Donkersloot, I designed a website that elevates her distinctive cinematic style into the digital realm. Lisette’s work is characterised by bold surrealism, dramatic staging and an intuitive blend of art-direction with film execution.

In designing her site, I treated it as an extension of her visual language: structured yet fluid, precise yet immersive. Through dynamic transitions, sculptural layouts and a refined yet daring colour and typography palette, the website steps beyond mere presentation and becomes a stage for her work.
